Dr. David and Mrs. Dorothy Stevens began their ministry of healing families in the mid 70's. After attending what Dr. Stevens describes as, "The most intense and concentrated studies I've ever experienced in my life" at the Institute In Youth Conflicts, in Oak Brooke, IL. "For a solid week these people got you up at the crack of dawn, fed you, and then pumped Bible information into you until lunch. Then back again to more Bible truths until dinner we'd go. Following dinner there we were an aggregation of anxious urban pastors trying to digest as much Word as we could. By nine PM. we stumbled to bed only to start all over again, bright and early the next daybreak. It was brutal, but from it I was turned onto a love for seeking the Bible principles affecting marriage and family".

From that experience the Stevens' began to look for ways to reach out to others with these life changing principles. Soon after his return they began sponsoring low cost Marriage seminars. Then came the invitation to join the the National Inspirational Youth Convention staff of The Churches of God. This three day lecture assignment caused them to travel annualy all over the country sharing discovered truths. Dr. Stevens has continued his busy schedule, as the pastor of Christ Center Church of God, teaching in the Philadelphia Public schools, marriage counseling, leading seminars, and authoring two books on the subject of marriage.

 Dorothy Stevens has been a major contributor to her husband's success. She has been an excellent counselor to wives in conflict. Her gentle wisdom applied in her own soft and loving style has caused many young wives to take a different look at understanding their husbands. Her favorite teaching centers on Proverbs 31. She has also taught for 30 years in the Philadelphia School system and developed several Bible study and prayer groups.
